Cable Cast On (used for Picot Bind Off) =
Hold work so stitches are on left needle,
*insert needle between first and 2nd stitch on
left needle, wrap and draw loop through (as if
making a knit st), slip the new stitch back onto
the left needle; repeat from * until the desired
number of stitches have been cast on.

With right sides together, wrong side facing,
sew side seam. Weave in ends. Insert into boot
and fold over top.
Special Techniques
Picot Bind off = *Cast on 2 sts using cable
cast on method below, immediately bind off
4 sts, slip the first stitch on right hand needle
back to left hand needle; repeat from * across.

Row 1 (right side): K2, *p2, k2; repeat from *
to end of row.
Row 2: Knit the knit sts and purl the purl sts to
end of row.
Repeat Row 2 for 2x2 Rib.
CUFF (make 2)
Cast on 58 (66, 74) sts.
Row 1 (wrong side): Knit.
Work in 2x2 Rib until piece measures 10”
(25.5 cm) from beginning, end with a right
side row.
With wrong side facing, work picot bind off.
