Dom’s Sports Talk By: Domenic DeCrescenzo 5B
This Sunday, the Broncos and the Seahawks will go head to head in
the Super Bowl. It will be the first time in many years that the #1
defense plays the #1 offense. Russell Wilson will be trying to get out
of his slump of less than 300 passing yards per game, while Richard
Sherman will be trying to pick off Peyton Manning every chance he
gets. The Broncos defense will be trying to stop Marshawn Lynch
(Beast Mode), from a 100 yard+ rushing game. Denver is picked to
win, but I predict the Seahawks will win 23-21.
For the past 3 games, the Bruins have been scoring 6 goals per
game! They hope to keep their 6 goal momentum and 3 game
winning streak going through Saturday.
The Celtics are on a down ward spiral, Rondo is not 100%, and even
though Green is scoring double digits, it is not enough to help them
win games. With a 15-33 record, their only hope is to get better draft
picks for the future.
Something to look for to, Red Sox spring training starts 2/20/14!

The World’s Down Time by: Juliana Wolfe 8A
The world isn’t normal, and too many people have been hurt. When you think
someone is hurting, what do you think of? You probably think of physically, like
the Boston Bombing, but that’s hurting not what is happening today. Today
people think that having a fight inside of them and letting it out will give the
person complete control, but instead this hurts those around you. Why can’t you
keep your feelings and emotions inside? That’s right you can’t! But at least turn
your sins into forgiveness.
New Ugg Boots?! By: Kaitlyn Gillespie and Aria Constentine 5A
There are new colors and designs for Ugg Boots! Some colors are red, purple,
navy, light blue, silver, pink, and black. Here is a weird fact too; there is only
ONE Ugg outlet in Massachusetts! The other ones are located in New
Jersey and New York. Uggs are very popular right now and the prices are
going down so, I would buy them fast. Have a great week!

Prayer for the New Year: Tiana DeCrescenzo 7A
God, thank you for a new year. May everyone in our family
be willing to begin anew with a clean slate. We know that
you are always ready to forgive us. Help us to be willing to
forgive ourselves and to forgive one another.
As we begin a new year, remind us of our truest values and
our deepest desires. Help us to live in the goodness that
comes from doing what you want us to do. Help us to put
aside anxiety about the future and the past, so that we
might live in peace with you now, one day at a time.
