Beehive Lane Community Primary School Newsletter No.25 The BUZZWORD Friday, 27th March, 2015. “Releasing The Potential Within All” I cannot believe how quickly this term has flown by! The children have had a fantastic term of learning and enjoyment and I wish you all a very Happy Easter. We are very proud of the children’s achievements this term and are pleased to see that the vast majority of them are reading regularly. If the children read during the holidays, they can count the signatures towards their reading stars for the Summer Term. FOBS EASTER EGG HUNT This afternoon many of the children took part in an Easter Egg Hunt organised by FOB’s which the children thoroughly enjoyed. There were lots of smiling faces! We are always very grateful to the members of FOB’s who work so hard to benefit all the children in school by way of their fundraising events. Year 6 Road Safety Yesterday the Year 6 pupils were visited by one of the local Road Safety Officers. They completed a quiz which covered all aspects of Road Safety including speed limits, stopping distances and the wearing of cycle helmets. They also had a session outside where they discussed local traffic issues including parking and distractions the children may encounter while walking to school. Donna, the Road Safety Officer, commented that all the children behaved perfectly and that they were a pleasure to work with. EYFS children with the Easter Bunny!
