1. Beginning Sewing for Adults #¯
Learn how to read a pattern and lay out pattern
pieces as well as to use a sewing machine.
Zippers, gathering and top stitching techniques
also are covered in class. Lecture/demo format.

2. Adult Learn to Sew - Sleep Pants #
Adults can learn to sew by making these very
popular pants. Make someone the perfect gift and

3. ABCs of Beginning Quilting #
Jump start your quilting skills in only four
sessions! You will learn to rotary cut and machine
piece a block. Then you will add borders and
pin baste the top, batting and backing together.
Finally you will machine quilt the piece and bind
the edges.

An express quilting class done in only 2 weeks!
Learn to rotary cut and machine piece a block.

5. Block of the Month #
Diamonds & Stars
One evening per month, we will introduce the
technique needed to create a section of this king-size
quilt. All sewing will be done at home, but every
question will be answered and all problems solved
in our class time together. Completely beginner
friendly, yet stunning for all skill levels. Monthly kits
available. (See handout for more information.)

6. Block of the Month ##
“Circle of Flowers”
Each block will have a flower in the center and a
color coordinated free-form border. Call the finished
piece an art quilt or the more traditional crazy quilt.
You will learn techniques for appliqué, embellishment,
and hand and machine embroidery, etc. in the 9 months
we work on this. And finally we will assemble this into
a wall hanging with a circle of flowers in the middle.

Class Policy
Fabrics used in our classes must be purchased at Jackman’s. Please support us. Total
class fee is required at time of enrollment, which must be at least 7 days in advance.
No refunds will be given unless Jackman’s cancels the class. If you cancel at least
10 days in advance, you will be given store credit, which may be used for another
class or merchandise. You will be called only if a class is cancelled, so mark your
calendar, and come prepared to learn and have fun! A Discount Card and a supply
list will be given to you upon enrollment.
