Position: Communications & Design Coordinator
Position Summary: The Communications & Design Coordinator is responsible for aiding in the
development and implementation of all ADSTV marketing and communications strategies. The
role supports communication goals by conceptualizing, writing and editing a full range of
marketing materials.
This position is responsible for external stakeholder communication, communicating the
strategic directions of the agency, press releases and general information released to the public
through a variety of communication vehicles. The position concentrates on communications
required for the social media campaigns for ADSTV and the Possible Campaign.
The ideal candidate will have proven marketing project management experience, basic graphic
design skills, web design knowledge, social media experience, and excellent written and verbal

Full-time, 35 hours/week
Includes evenings and weekends
Schedule may vary according to agency needs
$19.00 - $20.77/hour
Salary commensurate with experience
Benefit eligibility after 3 months
3 weeks’ vacation to start
 Completion of a program with an emphasis on marketing, communications, public
relations, design, or equivalent.
 2-3 years related work experience
 Proven skills with social media campaigns
 Demonstrated proficiency in print publishing software (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite) and
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
 Knowledge of basic graphic design principles
 Excellent project management and organizational skills
 Understanding of the not-for-profit industry
 A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and
people management skills
 Creative writing and thinking skills
 Must be self-motivated, organized and able to multi-task and prioritize jobs to meet
Duties and Responsibilities:
 Create social media schedules for Agency and Foundation Twitter and Facebook
accounts, seeking input from Coordinator/Trainers / Directors
 Research, write, edit & proof all levels of copy for social media platforms
 Design agency materials, such as social media images, event marketing materials,
annual report, presentations, communication templates and other design needs
 Help to ensure all products, services, and other offerings conform to brand identity;
conduct ongoing brand management.
 Work with marketing agency to produce marketing collateral in accordance with brand
guidelines. Design some marketing materials such as brochures and signage.
 Update content for publication to the website (WordPress)
 Manage inventory of agency marketing materials and promotional items
 Design and write quarterly newsletters (MailChimp)
 Provide editing services to ensure that all communications are appropriately worded
(both in grammar and in content)
 Participate on internal and external committees
 Present to the Board of Directors as required, suggesting new directions and/or changes
in the current direction of ADSTV’s marketing and communications plans
 Communicate and negotiate with promotional partners as needed for joint marketing
 Responsible for marketing and public relations for agency and Foundation special
events, working with a special event coordinator for some events
 Maintain the agency contact lists / databases
 Serve in a support capacity to Executive Director, Boards and Management Team staff
 Attend Administrative team meetings as well as other meetings as invited by Executive

 May be exposed to infectious and communicable diseases; working with individuals who
have a history of trauma and being aggressive.
 Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
