Fort Lewis Family
Member Scholarship
The Fort Lewis Family Member Scholarship Fund offers this
scholarship to graduating seniors who have a valid military ID
are the immediate family member of an active duty Soldier residing
within 50 miles of JBLM or are a surviving family member of a
Soldier last assigned to or residing in a 50 mile radius of JBLM or
are a family member of a retired Soldier residing within a 50
mile radius of JBLM. Application available online at:

Tumwater Rotary
Scholarship
The Tumwater Rotary Club offers a $1,250 to two THS graduating 3/27/15
seniors who plan on attending technical training or a college or
university. Criteria for the scholarship: 20% evaluation of written
responses to the application questions, 35% a minimum of 30 hours
of community service, 20% academic achievement and 25% financial
need.
TwinStar Credit Union
Scholarship
TwinStar Credit Union offers this scholarship to graduating seniors
who are in good standing with TwinStar Credit Union and who
will be attending college in the fall of 2015. Application may also

Anacker Scholarship
for the Arts
The Washington Center for the Performing Arts offers their
Anacker Scholarship for the Arts to agraduating senior who has
enrolled in a college course study focused on the arts and intends
to pursue a career in the arts. Selection of recipients shall be merit
based, including academic ability, extracurricular and community
service activities, obstacles, career goals and letters of
recommendation. See application for details

Visionary Scholarship
The American College Foundation offers this scholarship to
students in grades 9-12. Financial need is not considered, all
income levels may apply. Information/Application available

O Bee Credit
O Bee Credit Union offers this scholarship to the general public.
Six $3,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors.
Preference will be given to those who apply to Washington
community colleges, technical schools, and public institutions.
Applicants must attend an accredited school during the specified
academic year and the funds must be used during that year.
This application must be received at the O Bee Credit Union office
by no later than 5:30 p.m. on April 1, 2015. Apply online at:

The PTO at Michael T. Simmons offers this scholarship to
graduating seniors who spent at least a portion of their elementary

Tumwater Education
Foundation Scholarships
The Tumwater Education Foundation offers multiple

scholarships to graduating seniors from THS. TEF is
now accepting scholarship applications. Check out their
website at www.tefteam.org for the list of scholarships
and the criteria for each one. You can use one application
to apply for multiple scholarships. Be sure to read the criteria
to make sure you qualify and include all supplemental information.
The application can be filled out on line (it will expand as you type),
but must be printed and mailed to TEF. Read your application and
be sure you have included all the necessary information before
you mail it. Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
Applications must be postmarked by April 1, 2015. If you have

The scholarships are:
Darlene Dally Memorial Scholarship – For those who
participated in home economics classes during high school.
Fire Service Scholarship – For those who plan to pursue Fire
Service or Emergency Medical Services as a career.
Frank Minear Memorial Scholarship – For those currently in
their school’s Music Department.
Hildegarde Grunenfelder Memorial Scholarship – For those
who plan on becoming a teacher.
Jacob (Jake) Berschauer ll Memorial Scholarship – For those
with strong teamwork values, leadership skills and
participation with a positive attitude in THS functions.
Joyce Ertman Memorial Scholarship – For those who have
been served by an IEP.
Katherine D. Carter Scholarship – For those pursuing a degree
in mathematics, engineering, technology or a science.
Laura Lohmeyer Memorial Scholarship – For music students
who can also demonstrate their Christian faith.
Maria Dolores Ronquillo Sand Memorial Scholarship – For
those pursuing a career in the Science pathway.
Marisa Lyons Memorial Scholarship – For female athletes.
Rochelle Lyn Klopfenstein Memorial Scholarship – For those
who attended Black Lake Elementary for at least one year.
TEF Endowment Scholarship – Recipient(s) are selected from
among those who submit a TEF Scholarship Application.
Wesley Anderson Memorial Scholarship – For those who plan
on becoming a successful entrepreneur/business owner.
William (Bill) J. Ward Memorial Scholarship – For those who
have been a member of any THS athletic team (player, manager,
or a similar team supportive role).
Olympia Masonic Lodge
The Free and Accepted Masons of Washington, Olympia Lodge #1,
offers this scholarship to graduating seniors. Awards are based on
community service, citizenship, scholastic achievement, evaluation
written application and financial need. Application and materials
must be submitted in PDF form. See application for details.

Alumni Association
The Tumwater High School Alumni Association offers this
scholarship to college bound graduating seniors, based on academic
Achievement, leadership qualities and school/community activities.

Association Scholarship
The University of Washington Nikkei Alumni Association Scholarship is for students of Japanese ancestry who attend or will attend

Evalyn Poff Memorial
Scholarship
The Thurston County Democrats offer this scholarship to
graduating seniors. They will offer up to four (4) $1,000
scholarships to college-bound seniors residing in Thurston County
in honor of Democratic activist Evalyn Poff. They are only

The Olympia Tumwater
Foundation Scholarship
The Olympia Tumwater Foundation offers scholarships to

graduating seniors from Thurston County with a minimum 3.0
GPA , great work ethic, community involvement and financial need.
Applicant must be attending a college in the State of Washington.
Applications are available in the Career Center or online at:
www.olytumfoundation.org/education.asp but must be printed out
and submitted to Jana in the Career Center by 2:30 on April 22, 2015.
Please note that the application indicates that the due date is
April 24, 2015, but because Tumwater High is limited to submitting
only four applications, we need time to process all applications and
and select the final candidates, thus the new deadline of April 22.
Applications emailed or taken directly to The Olympia Tumwater
Foundation will not be accepted.
Robert J. Meyer
Scholarship
The Friends of the Olympia Farmer’s Market created this
in memory of Robert J. Meyer and those students pursuing the
study of Organic Farming on the college level.

James Ursano Army
Scholarship
Army Emergency Relief offers the James Ursano Scholarship
to graduating seniors who are the dependent of a Soldier on federal
active duty, a retired Soldier, or a deceased active or deceased
retired Soldier and are registered in DEERS (Defense Eligibility
Enrollment Reporting System). See application for details.

Scholarship
This scholarship is offered through the Hillel Foundation for
Jewish Life at the University of Washington and was established
to provide scholarships to Jewish students in financial need. Must

PTO Scholarship
to a former E. Oly student that submits an application and essay
and who has volunteered a minimum of 5 times/10 hours or more

Memorial Scholarship
Black Lake Elementary PTA offers this scholarship to graduating
seniors who attended Black Lake Elementary for at least 1 year.

The Tumwater Soccer Club offers four scholarships to graduating
seniors who will be attending college in the fall and who played
at least one complete soccer season with the Tumwater Soccer

Memorial Scholarship
The Kathy and Jeff Merry Memorial Scholarship is offered to
graduating seniors who are interested in pursuing music on the
college level. Applicants do not need to be majoring in music.
Recipients will be selected by the THS music faculty using school
and community service and involvement, character, leadership,
achievement, future plans and love of music as criteria.
