For the months of February/March, Greg Adkins would like to collect
new and very gently used men’s gloves for the inpatient units at the
Veterans Medical Center. Many of these people do not have gloves for
when they have to move from place to place including outside. There
are also women patients at the VA for whom we could collect. However, it seems that there isn’t as much need for women’s gloves as there
are for men’s gloves. Thank you for this support. Greg
This ministry will carry through March because of the bad weather.
(There are probably many gloves on sale right now!)

Dave Ramsey’s The Legacy Journey Series
Starts Sunday April 12!
Our Financial Peace University series this past fall had great
positive impact. We received many requests for Dave Ramsey’s follow up series, The Legacy Journey. This all new
seven week series begins April 12 from 6 PM - 8 PM. Child
care will be provided. Financial assistance is available.
You may register online at walnutstreetumc.com/
legacyjourney or in person at either the Connections Center
(Sunday morning) or the church office (weekdays). Cost for
the course is $109 unless financial assistance is granted.
You will receive a study kit that includes all needed materials
with a bonus Legacy organizer for your important documents.
“People wrongly assume that the most important issue
among families is money and wealth transfer, but it's not.
Non-financial items that people leave behind -- such as values, morals, ethics, and their faith story -- are more important
today than the financial aspects of inheritance.”
Dr. Richard H. Gentzler, Jr., D. Min., Leaving Your Legacy
The Legacy Journey is not just about finances. Dave Ramsey and the other series speakers have much to say about
teaching values, morals, ethics, and faith to coming generations. When financial discipline and generosity are combined
with telling our faith story, the results can be awesome.
We pray that the Lord will lead us to big dreams!
Nursery Workers — Due to two faithful volunteers relocating, we have a
gap in this wonderful Christian educational program we provide. Currently
no one has stepped forward for the second Sunday each month or the
fourth Sunday each month at 9:30AM. There is also a need for substitute
volunteers who can be on call at the last minute. Please contact me at:
[email protected] or call 740-701-2112.
SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHERS: We are looking for a few Sunday school teachers to help in our children's ministry that serves so
many FANTASTIC kids! Please consider serving in our ministry
here at Walnut Street. We are in need for both 9:30 and 11:00 services in a variety of classes and you may choose to serve every other
month if desired. Our children need YOU! Please sign the sign-in
card if you are willing to share Jesus with our kids and our children's
director will contact you.
