Burbank Comedy Festival Mission: A comedy festival dedicated to discovering America’s next comedy superstar right here in Downtown Burbank & to bring some funny business to Flappers and other Downtown Restaurants, shops & Hotels Burbank Comedy Festival Recap: • The Burbank Comedy Festival, presented by Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant (Since 2010). Barbara Holliday is the Executive Producer she is the original creator and owner of H2F Comedy Productions which is responsible for the Talent booking for Flappers Comedy Clubs in both Burbank and Claremont. • The festival generated substantial press, including Burbank Leader, LA Times, LA Weekly, Broadway World, Tolucan Times, and created substantial internet buzz – over 2.5 million hits on Flapperscomedy.com • After an amazing 1st festival, which brought 2,000 guests, over 200 emerging comedians, 80,000 website hits, and 30 celebrities (including Adam Carolla, Jeff Garlin, and Whitney Cummings) we are expecting to double our numbers in 2015. The Numbers • Diversity: There were shows of all kinds including Stand Up, Sketch, Comedy Shorts, Gay & Lesbian Showcases as well as Family Friendly, Magic & Variety. Many, including Arseno Show Casting Director Claudia Cagan described Ladies of Laughter starring Wendy Liebman (America’s Got Talent) as “one of the best women’s showcases” they had ever seen. • Tickets for comedy festival shows, classes & podcasts will range in price from 10.00 to 20.00. All Access Passes 399 to 599.00. • We anticipate that 50% of all comedians will be flying in from out of town. • This will generate more than 100 Flights scheduled through Burbank Airport. • Over 2,500 potential new Lunch & Dinner customers during that week to surrounding businesses. In all of the marketing, we are branding “Downtown Burbank” on a national level. Adam Carolla will be back to host a live version of his podcast.
