criminal justice system has evolved since ancient times but the principles of truth, fairness and equality, remain
the same. If you align yourself with these values, a course in Justice Studies could give you the moral high ground
to commence a career in law enforcement. Learn how to apply the legal frameworks, prepare court documentation,
analyse and present research information.
Course details
If you have an interest in law enforcement and a desire to make a difference, then our Certificate IV in Justice
Studies qualification could be for you. Learn to identify and apply the legal framework, communicate with clients on
justice-related issues, prepare court documentation, analyse social justice issues, gather information through
interviews, and analyse and present research information. Gain the skills to seek pre-selection into the Queensland
Police Service or work in a range of other justice-related occupations.

Hours of study:
Study is structured into fixed intakes which have set durations (completion date is 10 weeks from the
commencement date of each intake). Study can be commenced at the beginning of each intake, with dates as

Students will be able to access the online course content from the first day of each intake.

Students may enrol in up to 2 units of competency per intake, to ensure management of study load.

Entry requirements
This qualification has the following entry requirements:
successful completion of Certificate III in Business Administration (Legal); or,
any Certificate III from the Business Services Training Package; or,
completion of Year 12 or equivalent with a sound achievement in English; or,
relevant work or life experience in the business or justice fields.
If you’re under 17 years of age, special enrolment conditions may apply.
