I would like to thank Elizabeth Godwin my mentor in the coffee culinary
arts. Elizabeth taught me how to make my first Café Mocha. She gave
me the task of creating a new specialty coffee recipe every Friday and
sent me down the path of becoming “The Coffee Girl”, for that I owe her

They are a simple, frugal indulgence, which can usually be
made with ingredients already in your kitchen.
There will be no running to the local coffee shop around here,
no sir, we have Keurig coffee brewers that make these recipes
easy peasy.

1 T vanilla
whipped cream
-Start by brewing your Pumpkin Spice Keurig Kcup coffee on the lowest
water setting of your Keurig brewer.
-Add all ingredients (except the whipped cream) to a medium saucepan
and heat over the stove top while stirring. I like to heat mine until I see

Smoresuccino- yes
I named it myself : )
I admit it; I am
cheating on my
beloved Salted
Caramel Mocha.
Unfortunately, that
relationship did not last long, I have since moved on to the new love of
my life- a smores flavored cappuccino made with Keurig Kcup coffee.
Let’s get to the recipe…
You will need:
1 extra bold, dark roast Keurig Kcup coffee (I chose Emeril’s Big Easy
2 T chocolate syrup
2 T Torani toasted marshmallow flavored syrup
1/2 cup of milk
Pinch of graham cracker crumbs (optional)
Start by steaming and frothing the milk. I heated mine in the microwave
and frothed with a battery operated, handheld frothing tool. A blender
works fine too.

Brew your extra bold Keurig Kcup coffee on the lowest water setting of
your Keurig brewer. Add the chocolate syrup and Torani toasted
marshmallow syrup directly to the coffee and stir.
You can now pour the milk over the coffee. Top with a chocolate sauce
drizzle and graham cracker crumbs. Sip and enjoy this heavenly treat.
WARNING- this is not a low-calorie drink. It is meant to be a treat, if
you drink it everyday, don’t come crying to me when your pants no
longer fit!

4: All
Café Mocha
One of my
recent personal
goals is to eat
real foods and
to cook with all
ingredients. No chemicals, no fake food, and no on anything I can’t
pronounce. Since then, I have been on a mission to make an all-natural,
yet delicious hot cocoa recipe. I wanted it thick, I wanted it rich and I
wanted it full of delicious chocolatyness (is that a word?). After several
mediocre attempts, I went back to the cupboard to re-examine my
ingredients and there I it was, an angel sent from heaven- sweetened
condensed milk.
I present to you the most amazing hot cocoa recipe ever. But wait
there’s more, you get a two for one deal this week, I added Keurig Kcup
coffee to turn it into a Cafe Mocha to die for. If you prefer good ol’
fashioned hot cocoa, simply leave out the coffee and add one extra cup
of water.
You will need:
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Page 7
2 t pure vanilla extract
pinch of salt
4-5 cups of water
1 Keurig Kcup
Combine the sweetened condensed milk, cocoa powder, salt and vanilla
in a saucepan on the stovetop. Stir over medium heat until all of the dry
ingredients are incorporated. You should see a rich chocolate brown
Next, slowly stir in the water. If you are making Keurig Kcup cafe
mocha add 4-5 cups, if you are making hot cocoa add 5-6 cups
(depending how rich you would like it). The color will start to lighten up
and you will see some small bubbles but, do not let it boil. Stir and
simmer on medium heat for approximately 4 minutes.
Fill a very large mug about half way with the all-natural hot
cocoa. Brew your choice of Keurig Kcup coffee directly into the same
mug using the lowest water setting of your brewer (make sure you have
enough room in the mug!).
Top with whipped cream (homemade with heavy whipping cream of
course to stick with our all natural theme!). Garnish with cinnamon and
A beautiful, unbelievably delicious, all natural Keurig Kcup cafe mocha
(or hot cocoa)! This is one of those recipes that I could not wait to
share. I promise you will fall in love, I would even be willing to say that
this is way better than any coffee house mocha I have ever had! The best

part is I made this entire batch for about $2.00!
You can save the hot cocoa in the fridge for up to 5 days to make
yourself an indulgent mocha treat everyday- why not, you only live

5: Café Con Panna
Cafe Con Panna is a very simple
yet extremely indulgent coffee
house drink that can be made at
home quite easily. Not only is
making this recipe at home a
piece of cake, it saves you big
Generally, Cafe Con Panna is not
even listed on the menu at most
coffee shops. It simply is not a popular drink in America, although I am
not sure why. It packs a powerful espresso punch paired with creamy,
sweet whipped cream… delicious!
Wont you feel savvy when you not only know what it is but, how to
make it.
You will need:
1 Dark Magic Keurig Kcup coffee
Whipped cream
Brew a Dark Magic Kcup on the lowest water setting of your Keurig.
Yes, I do realize this is not a true European espresso however; it is pretty
darn close, tastes great and doesn’t require any sort of fancy
equipment…. so there!
Immediately transfer your espresso to a demitasse cup and top with

whipped cream. You should have enough coffee for two so you must
share with a friend- so sit back take a sip and enjoy!
Can you believe it is that simple? This is a great drink for those trying to
break into the world of espresso but are not quite ready for the full affect.
The whipped cream tones the coffee down a bit and provides just the
perfect dash of sweetness!

6: Maple
It is maple
syrup time in
Ohio and there
is nothing I
love more than
local, pure
maple syrup. My family and I take a drive through the country a couple
of times a year in pursuit of a rather large jug of the heavenly syrup and
of course we have to indulge with a few pieces of maple sugar candy
while we are there! If you have never tried maple sugar candy, get in
your car right now and get some, it will change your life.
This weekend I had an ah ha moment and decided to add our treasured
maple syrup to my coffee – I know… I am a genius! My initial thought
was to simply pour it into the coffee and stir but, that did not work, it just
sank to the bottom. I went back to the drawing board and came up with
a perfect solution…
You will need:
1 Keurig Kcup coffee- any regular roast will do – I would not
recommend a flavored Kcup, the maple syrup will provide enough
1 shot glass of maple syrup

Page 12
Half and half or milk (your desired amount, I used about a ¼ cup)
Whipped cream
Heat the half and half and maple syrup in a saucepan on the stovetop.
Stir constantly, do not boil. Once the mixture reaches your desired
temperature, stir in your Keurig Kcup coffee that was brewed on the
lowest water setting of your brewer. Stir over low heat for 1-2 minutes.
Pour the maple syrup Kcup coffee into your favorite mug, top with
whipped cream and garnish with cinnamon and nutmeg.

7: Simply Delicious
Tiramisu Coffee
You can now enjoy the delicious
tastes of the classic Italian dessert in
the form of a dessert coffee made in
your own kitchen with
you Keurig coffee brewer… you’re
welcome! The recipe is a piece of
cake (no pun intended) to make and
costs far less than what you would
typically spend in a restaurant or
coffee shop!
You will need:
-1 Extra Bold Dark Roast Keurig Kcup coffee.
-1 shot Baileys (or any Irish Cream liqueur)
-1 shot Frangelico (or any nutty tasting liqueur)
-hot water
-Whipped cream and cocoa to top
This recipe is a 2 for 1 deal- the base of our Tiramisu coffee recipe is an
Americano. The Americano is a VERY popular coffee house drink that
is made with 2 shots of espresso and about 12 ounces of hot water. Can
you believe that is all it is?!
Page 14
Start by filling you glass about a third of the way with hot water. Add
both shots of liqueur.
Next add an Extra Bold Dark Roast Keurig Kcup coffee made on the
lowest water setting of your brewer. My “go to” Kcup for these sorts of
coffee recipes is always Green Mountain Dark Magic.
Now you are ready to top with whipped cream and cocoa powder.
This is a perfect coffee to enjoy after a dinner party, your guests will so
impressed with this unique dessert coffee. We won’t tell them how
simple it is to make, that will be our little secret ; )

enjoy it just as much as mine.
