A2(L) Assistant Sector Manager
Main purpose of job:
This person will join the Energy team, with specific responsibility of assisting the Business Development
Manager and Sector Manager on the Marine, Power and Petrochemicals issues specifically.
Main Duties and responsibilities:
 Assist on the preparation of chargeable services (OMIS reports and visiting programmes), and
Business Opportunities
Assist with administrative arrangements for Missions (inward and outward Missions), Trade Fairs and
Seminars, involving, when necessary, attendance at official functions
Insert information in CDMS maintain an up-dated contact database, responsible for e-filing and paper
filing for the sector
Arrange BDM and Sector Managers’ meetings/initiative visiting programmes and organise nonchargeable visit programmes when required, e.g. for UKTI and FCO staff
Answer basic non-chargeable enquiries (personal, telephone, letter, fax, e-mail) from Brazilian and UK
Provide ad hoc assistance to other colleagues in Brazil
Staff Management (intern) supporting the Marine intern

The ideal candidate will have:
 Level of language required: Advanced written and oral English and Portuguese.
 University Degree
 Previous experience in working in the areas of Marine or Offshore / Energy

The British Consulate-General in Rio de Janeiro aims to offer an attractive working environment and
remuneration package for this role: R$ 4.940,00 plus benefits.
