1. TRANSPORT AND INFRASTRUCTURE
ROADS ENGINEERS (2). J/G M
REQUIREMENTS
1.
Be a Kenyan Citizen.
2.
Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and relevant qualifications from a
recognized institution.
3.
Be a registered Engineer by Engineers Registration Board of Kenya.
4.
Must have at least 3 years of experience as an Engineer.

2. INSPECTOR ROADS (6) J/G J
REQUIREMENTS
1.
Must be a Kenyan citizen.
2.
Must have a Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) Diploma in Civil
Engineering from a recognized institution.
3.
Must have basic knowledge in making construction of roads, drainage and bridges with at
least 3 years work experience.
4.
Practical knowledge in roads construction.
5.
Must be computer literate.

Satisfy the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Supervision and controlling all road works within the area of jurisdiction.
2.
Assisting in preparation of monthly physical progress reports of individual projects.

Ensuring specifications and standards are adhered to during construction and
maintenance of roads.
4.
Preparation of work programmes.
5.
Be able to interpret engineering drawings.
6.
Assisting in the selection and location of suitable materials for road works.

QUANTITY SURVEYOR (1) J/G M
REQUIREMENTS
1.
Be a Kenyan citizen.
2.
A Bachelor of Arts degree in building economics or quantity surveying from a
recognized institution.
3.
Be registered with Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors of Kenya
(BORAQS).
4.
Have a minimum of 3 years post registration working experience.
5.
Proficiency in relevant computer application.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Co-ordination of design, supervision of construction and maintenance of public works.

1.
To assist the Quantity Surveyor in preparation of bill of quantities, counter checking of

5. MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN ENGINEER (1) J/G M
REQUIREMENTS
1.
Must be a Kenyan citizen.
2.
Must be a Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) Higher National Diploma
(HND) certificate holder from a recognized institution.
3.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a mechanical workshop.
4.
Computer literate.
5.
Demonstrate general administrative ability required for directing, controlling and
implementation of mechanical engineering services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Liaising with suppliers and handling supply chain management issues for all the plants
and equipment.

Operation of ground based vehicles and their respective engineering subsystems.
3.
Investigating equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and to make
recommendations to maintenance crew (inspecting and test driving vehicles).
4.
Develop engineering specifications or cost estimates for automotives.
5.
Supervise all staff in the mechanical department.
6.
Monitoring daily operations of all the construction plants and equipment in the
department.

In charge of county fleet management.
6. SURVEYOR (1) J/G M
REQUIREMENTS
1.
Bachelor’s degree in either land surveying and photogrammetry, geomatics, geomatic
engineering, technology in geomatics, technology in geo-informatics, geo-spatial
engineering, philosophy in technology (survey) or its equivalent from a recognized
institution.
2.
Must have served as a surveyor for a minimum period of three (3) years.

Affiliate/associate membership of institution of surveyors of Kenya (ISK).
4.
Certificate in computer applications.
5.
Satisfy the requirement of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.
Reviewing policies on surveying and mapping.
2.
Overseeing boundaries and hydrographic surveys.

Monitoring and evaluating of survey and mapping activities.

Carrying out total work station and related computations and adjustments including
triangulation.

Organisation of independent survey team, personnel and equipment.

8. LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT (1) J/G M
REQUIREMENTS
1.

A degree in Architecture from a recognized university.

Have a technical knowledge of architectural project delivery.

Demonstrate skills on the areas of design, presentation and technical skills.

REQUIREMENTS
1.Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D(Plain) or its
Approved equivalent qualification;
2. A valid driving licence free from any current endorsements;
3. Suitability Test for Driver Grade III;
4. Occupational Trade Tests III/II/I for Drivers;
5. First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. Johns
Ambulance or any other recognized institution;
6. Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association of Kenya (AA) or its

Hold a degree in veterinary medicine from a university recognised in Kenya
He/She must be registered and retained by the Kenya Veterinary Board
Must be a member of a registered professional association representing the interests of
Veterinary surgeons
5. Must meet the requirements of Chapter six of the constitution
6. Should not be more than forty five( 45) years of age.
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Management of all Sub –County veterinary resources(Human and other assets)
2. Supervision of veterinary public Health, hides and skins, and artificial insemination(A.I)
services
3. Carrying out livestock disease control activities.
4. Provide reports on the occurrence of notifiable diseases
5. Carrying out veterinary extension services and back – stopping private service providers.
6. Networking with other stakeholders and departments in the delivery of animal health
services.
7. Inspection of agro-vets and any other veterinary drugs outlets
8. Answerable to the County director of Veterinary services
