About Denver
Head coach Melissa Kutcher-Rinehart leads
the Pioneers for the 17th time in 2015.
The all-time winningest coach in program
history, Kutcher-Rinehart is looking to
advance the team to the NCAA National
Championships for the fourth time in her
career, last coming in 2008 where the
Pioneers finished 12th. Denver has qualified
for the NCAA Regionals in each of KutcherRinehart’s 16 seasons.
Last Time Out
Denver hosted their season opener on
Saturday, January 17, against MRGC
opponent Utah State with a 196.025 –
194.525 win. The Pioneers score was the
earliest 196+ since the 2013 season when
DU posted a 196.600 in their second meet of
the season against Air Force. Highlighted by
a career-tying 9.975 from McGee, the floor
squad posted the programs seventh highest
team total with a 49.475.
In 2014, the Pioneers won the inaugural
Mountain Rim Gymnastics Conference
title after setting a school record on vault
(49.475). They will look to defend their title
when the 2015 Championships come to
