planning and reference. A total of 14 career speakers had the opportunity to meet with two
groups of students, each. Please be sure to follow up with your student to see what

and future career plans. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Therio in the Guidance
Office.
Some thoughts to consider for the college bound student:

Importance of deadline dates - (please remember that we need your completed
application 2 weeks prior to the college’s posted deadline, and not later than
December 1st for any applications that need to be sent prior to Christmas) Also,
please remember to apply as early as possible to ensure the greatest opportunities
for scholarships.

Explore Your Interests and Career Fit – Be sure you are applying to the
program(s) that is/are right for you! Knowing your interests, skills and values as
they relate to work can help you to choose the best fit for your future. The
following tools are some of the best available resources:
a. Check out your profile on the www.bridges.com software (use 0106466
for SITE ID, and warren for PASSWORD)
b. See a list of best fit majors at www.mymajors.com (Use warren as your
key to print the $15.00 profile for free)

that are right for you!

Financial Aid – North Warren Central School will host Skidmore College for
their information session and workshop for seniors on Wednesday, December 17th
at 6pm in the High School Library. Important and timely information for parents
and seniors will be provided about the FAFSA and CSS forms and what steps are
needed now for getting your financial aid package in place. We look forward to
seeing you there! Student Loan Calculator - students can estimate their future
payments and know their federal limits when taking on loans:
