SANCTUARY POLICIES
During the service time, please turn off your cell phones, bluetooths
and place your pagers on vibrate mode. Our services are designed
primarily for adults, so we ask that you would take your children to
the classes offered in the Children’s Ministry. Children ten years and
older are permitted in the Main Sanctuary and Multi-Purpose Room
when accompanied by a parent. We hope to adequately minister
to you and your children on a personal level. Please do not move
around after the service has begun, and please be sensitive to those
around you who want to listen and learn from God’s Word. If you
need to leave the Main Sanctuary during the Bible Study for any
reason, we request that you not re-enter the Main Sanctuary, but we
ask you to join us in the Multi-Purpose Room. We do this to keep
distractions at a minimum as we study God’s Word. Thank you.

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.” John 15:13
Everyone loves a hero. The story of one risking his own life for another has been the theme of countless books since almost the beginning of
time. In this passage, Jesus defines for us what a true hero really looks like. The scriptures teach that Jesus “endured the cross, but despised
the shame.” In the garden, He even asked the Father to “take the cup” from Him. Much like a soldier, our Lord put His life on the line and paid
the ultimate price so that we might live! This Veterans Day, let’s remember our Armed Forces and give thanks to all those who have faithfully
fulfilled their duty and risked their lives for our freedom.

Christmas Sisters’ Night Out • Tuesday, December 2nd, 7:00 p.m., Main Sanctuary. The Christmas season is upon us and it is time for us to
Proclaim His Joy! Because Jesus came we have every reason to rejoice! So plan now to set aside this night to pause and refocus on Jesus - the
true Joy of Christmas. We’ll celebrate with Christmas carols, worship, a timely message from Janie Alfred and a wonderful Christmas Marketplace
Boutique. The boutique will be open from 5:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Don’t come alone. Pray about inviting a sister and don’t
miss this opportunity to introduce her to Jesus! Ages 13 years and up are welcome. Children’s Ministry will not be available. Contact the Wonen’s
Ministry for more information.
Christmas Men’s Night Out • Tuesday, December 9th, 7:00 p.m., Kids’ Sanctuary. Join us for our Christmas Men’s Night Out. We will have a
special time of worship, an inspiring message followed by a time of food and fellowship. Come have your faith challenged with a supercharged
message by Pastor Pancho Juarez of Calvary Chapel Montebello. Bring a friend and enjoy a time in God’s Word and fellowship with other brothers in
Christ. Ages 15 years and up are welcome. Children’s Ministry will not be available. Contact the Men’s Ministry for more information.
Nursery Preschool Ministry • If you have a heart for children and a desire to serve, we are looking for women volunteers, 18 years and older to
help out in the Nursery and Preschool areas. We have Sunday morning, Sunday evening and Thursday evening service times available. You can serve
once a week, once a month, or as your schedule allows. For those interested in serving, please complete the Helping Hands flyer in your bulletin
and turn it into the Welcome Center or contact the Women’s Ministry for details.
Mission Jars • Your change for world missions! Join us as we allow our change to make a difference in our world. The money that you and your
family collect will enable CCSB missions and radio ministries to preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Simply fill out the registration form at the
Welcome Center to receive your mission jar and see the hand of God work in your lives. Thank you to all the participants involved in the Mission Jar
project and for supporting the Missions Ministry. You can drop off your filled mission jars at the Welcome Center. Contact Pastor Dennis for details.
Food Pantry • Our Food Pantry Ministry which provides food for those in need in our church body is running low on supplies. If you would like to
donate to the pantry, please drop off non-perishable food items in the bin located in the main foyer. Please refer to the Food Pantry flyer for a specific
list of acceptable items. Thank you for donating to the pantry and blessing our families in need. Contact Pastor Tuvai for details.
What, Me Worry? • Introducing the latest in a series of pocket booklets by Pastor Steve. We all face obstacles in life. When the fear and anxiety
of our circumstances start to turn our world upside down, instead of casting our concerns onto our faithful God, we often choose instead to WORRY.
It’s amazing how we spend so much of our time “worrying” instead of trusting God. Take your eyes off the storms of your life and begin going down
the road of trusting God. What, Me Worry? is now available in the Cornerstone Bookstore and Light Of The Word table.
Pastor Steve Mays Memorial Service DVD • In memory of our beloved Pastor Steve Mays, a special DVD recording of his memorial service is
available to the body. Please visit the Light of the Word table for a free DVD.
