Reflexión Magnánima de Padre John
Robert Skeldon
familia. Que Dios los bendiga a todos.
Catholic Charities Needs Drivers
Transportation Service is essential for those seeking help when they
have no way to get to the source of help! Catholic Charities has this
service, as one of their many "help-programs", and they
have available vehicles to transport clients. They need volunteer drivers for CC vehicles and volunteers who are willing to drive their own
vehicles. If you can help or need more information the Transportation
contact person at Catholic Charities is Isabel d e Armas, 817-413-3936 or email:

Faith Direct
This month we are
introducing a new and exciting way for you to support our parish
offertory and second collections: Faith Direct. Faith Direct enables parishioners to make your Church contributions through
either direct debit from your checking/savings account or through
your credit/debit card. No more writing checks or searching for
envelopes on the way out the door. Now you can apply the convenience of direct debit to your parish offerings in much the
same way as you may now use it to make your mortgage, car or
tuition payments. Faith Direct also offers you personalized offertory cards to replace your envelopes for the collection basket.
Please enroll by responding to the mailing you will receive or
visit www.faithdirect.net to enroll securely online. Our parish
code is TX653.

Father Raul Perez of Cross Catholic Outreach will be visiting our parish next weekend to speak at all Masses on
behalf of the poor in developing countries. Cross Catholic Outreach was founded to create a meaningful link
between parishes in America and the priests and nuns
working in the Church overseas in the Caribbean, Africa,
Asia, Central and South America. Please be generous .

Magnanimous Musings of Fr. John Robert
As we begin to come to the end of the liturgical year, our
thoughts necessarily go to the idea of endings, including
our own ending in death. Indeed in this month of November we remember our beloved
departed ones. But, ours is a faith that fearlessly proclaims life in the midst if death.
That is where our hope must be.
Next weekend, an organization that helps to proclaim life in the midst of seeming
"death" (poverty and illness) will be here at all masses: Cross Catholic International.
They have been here before. As this parish has been so generous in the past, I am sure
we will be so again to the good work that Cross Catholic does.
Please also note that Thanksgiving is coming. A big Thank you to all who are helping with
the Thanksgiving baskets that St. Vincent de Paul Society is providing.
We will have a mass on Thanksgiving Day at 9 am. There will also be the Wednesday
evening mass at 6:30 pm the night before. At both masses, you are invited to bring any
food or drink that you would like blessed for your meal as a family. God bless you all.
Thanksgiving Mass Schedule
Wednesday Vigil, November 26th, 6:30p.m.
Thursday, November 27th, 9a.m.
At both masses, you are invited to bring any food or drink that you
would like blessed for your meal as a family.
