The Word Spoken
In the beginning was the Word
And the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
* The Peace
The peace of Christ be with you.
And also with you.
Please turn to your neighbor and exchange
the greeting of peace.
* Gathering Music “Lord I Lift Your Name on High”
Lord I lift Your name on high
Lord I love to sing Your praises
I'm so glad You’re in my life
I'm so glad You came to save us
Deuteronomy 34:1-12
Thanks be to God.
Presentation of Gifts, Tithes, and Offerings
Offertory “When You Believe”
Prayer of Confession†
As you know, God our healer, we stand on the edge of your promises
and hopes, yet cannot seem to let ourselves cross over into the life you
intend for us. We seek praise from our families, yet are unable to tell
them how much we love them; we care more about our needs and
desires, than for the struggles of our neighbors; we think more about
the trash we read and see than focusing on the Spirit of wisdom.
Forgive us, Everlasting God. Renew our lives with your grace;
restore our hopes with your vision of tomorrow; refresh our spirits
with your joy which comes to us new in each moment in the gift of
your Child, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen
Prayer Response “Surely It Is God”
Surely it is God who saves me
I will trust in God and not be afraid
For the Lord is my stronghold and my sure defense
And God will be my savior
Rev. Karen Ware Jackson
* Charge and Benediction
* Benediction Response
“May You Run and Not Be Weary”
May you run and not be weary, may your heart be filled with song
And may the love of God continue to bring you hope and keep you strong
And may you run and not be weary, may your life be filled with joy
And may the road you travel, always lead you home.
* You are invited to stand if you are able

Worship Enrichment for children and youth is coming soon! We
encourage our young people to learn about God and our community
through the act of worship. These enrichment experiences will allow the
children to learn more about the different parts of worship and enable them
to participate and understand more. Please talk to our Pastor Karen if
you wish to be involved! We need worship buddies and mentors to learn
alongside our young people.
