Sunday, 12 October 2014 ... Planned Giving Renewal Sunday 8.00am Holy Communion

NOTICES – 12 OCTOBER, 2014
New - Volunteers: Thank you to all who serve St Mary's and our local community
in ways too numerous to mention. You make a real difference! If you are not yet
involved, or would like to try doing something different, please read the leaflet
explaining how you can play your part and sign up on the board at the back of
church. With everyone involved we could do even more!
New - Remembrance Day: Grateful thanks to Dan Graham for taking on the sound
system for this. Dan would appreciate some unskilled help on the day (9th November),
probably involving some lifting and carrying to set up the system and take it down.
Please speak to Dan or to one of the clergy if you can help.
New - Richmond Welcare Open Evening, Wednesday 22 October, 4 - 7pm.at
St Stephen’s Church, East Twickenham TW1 2PD. An opportunity to find out more
about Welcare’s work with children and families in the borough of Richmond and to
meet Welcare staff and volunteers. The Parish supports Welcare through our
annual mission giving.
New - House Group tomorrow, 84 Temple Sheen Road, at 8.00pm, looking at
Parables.
Parish Christmas Lunch & Tea: Help needed before and on the day with cooking,
serving, raffle gifts, driving, organising, entertaining, socialising, lending equipment.

Christingle Party – volunteers needed - on Sunday 30th November we are
holding a family Christingle Party between 3 - 5pm. There will be activities, a
Christingle service and party tea. To make this happen we need lots of volunteers!
Please sign up at the back of church to help on the day. For more information,
contact Kat Graham (8408 9007) or Tom & Marian Carson (8878 7548).
Knitted Sheep needed: This year we are hoping to produce a good number of
knitted sheep in connection with some 'sheepish' additions to St Mary's Knitivity. If
you can help - either as part of a knitting group, or by knitting on your own at home,
please speak to Susie Lansbury - [email protected] or one of the clergy.

Confirmation 2015 - The next Confirmation Service in the Parish will be on 7
June 2015 at 4pm at All Saints. Classes for adults and for teenagers will be held
next year but it isn’t too early to think whether you might be ready to be confirmed
or to talk to one of the clergy. As usual, this will be a Parish event, so choir
members and others may like to put the date in their diaries.
New to St Mary’s? We’d love to get to know you. Do fill in a welcome card and
give it to one of the clergy.
