What is a Business Group Offer?
A:
A Business Group offer is a private rate offer that can be used as an added selling point for larger conferences or group
meetings who would prefer to keep the details of their event a little more private and hidden from the public eye. A Business
Group should be targeted towards the unique event that can be then shared with guests, colleagues or partners who will then
be able to receive all the information privately, through the Business Group offer page.

What is a Social Group Offer?
A:
A Social Group offer is a private rate offer that can be used as an added selling point for family celebrations (such as
engagements, birthdays and anniversaries) that would prefer to keep the details of their event a little more private and
hidden from the public eye. A Social Group should be targeted towards the unique event that can be then shared with guests,
family or friends who will then be able to receive all the information privately, through the Social Group offer page.
Q:
What is NOT a Social or Business Group Offer?
A:
A Social or Business Group offer is NOT a hotel deal (special offer). The Business/Social Group offer is not anything that is
offered at a discounted rate. The Rezidor policy is that hotel’s should never discount the room product included in the
package as the goal is not to sell rooms at a discounted rate. The price of the package should be the retail room rate (usually
based on double occupancy) plus the cost of the package elements and any additional costs incurred by the hotel.
Q:
How is a Social or Business Group Offer page private?
A:
The page will be hidden and therefore cannot be accessed from the hotel’s WebExtra navigation menu. The page can only be
seen by the participants that know the exact URL address, e.g. http://www.radissonblu.com/hotelzurichairport/offers/horasis2012
Q:
How can a Social or Business Group offer be used?
A:
For a unique event or conference:
The page serves as an easy, safe and valuable tool for an event organiser to share a hotel booking page with invited
participants that are required to do individual reservations within a specific date range and under a specific PAC code that can
be pre-populated.
Q:
How do I create a Social or Business Group offer?
A:

First of all, the group rates should be loaded into CHW eXpress under the ‘Group’ rate tab. The group rate code will
be visible into this section when created into Opera (two way interface hotel)
Ensure that “Central Reservation Office” is selected into the ‘Book With’ check box (see screen shot below). If you do
not select it, the rate will not be available/displayed for booking.
IMPORTANT: Attach a PAC code (Promotional or Private Access Code) to a group rate in CEX. A PAC code must
follow the naming convention: CC {Code}. ‘CC’ is the 2 letter country code of your hotel, e.g. DK for Denmark, FR for
France and the {code} represents the name of the group. The PAC code should be 6 characters or less and cannot
contain any symbols/spaces. Without a PAC code, the Group rate won’t be visible on www.radissonblu.com or
www.parkinn.com or relating language versions.

Do not forget to mention the features as well as any specific cancellation policies if they differ from the standard
Hotel Policy.

Go to the “Rate details” and ensure correct wording as well as rate name used.

Always verify if the rate loaded (pull-out from Opera) matches contracted rate offered.
If you have questions relating to Curtis-C, HDM or CHW eXpress contact your Distribution Services Supervisor. For
questions relating to Fidelio, Opera, Conversion Tables or Columbus, contact the IT Helpdesk and for any other
questions, contact your Director of Revenue Development.

THEN – hotel’s can login to the EnVeritas Message Board and begin the easy process of creating a Business Group

Once within the ‘Offers’ tab and your hotel has been chosen, you will come to an overview page that shows, existing offers,
expired offers and the chance to ‘Add a New Offer’. All offers must be added in English, plus any other language you feature
on your hotel website. So when you are about to add a Business or Social offer, please make sure all language versions are
ready to add at the same time – if required.
Simple instructions feature here, or more
information can be found by clicking on

Please note: Currently, language versions of offers must be added manually; therefore each hotel must supply these
translations themselves. The Corporate Support Office is working to set up the automatic translation process asap.
You now have the option to add a
new special offer or start the
process of adding a new Social or
Business Group offer.

- Is the price for 2 people sharing 1 room?
- Days available?
- Any extra taxes?
- Text should sell this offer to the Social or Business Group; should
be interesting and easy to understand.
- Remember to include Terms & Conditions relating to the offer

What will the Business Group offers look like once finished?
A:
Once you have created your offer through CHW eXpress and the EnVeritas message board, a page will be created that can
only be viewed by using the URL. You will be able to preview the offer once you have completed all the fields on the message
board.

How can I check the number of remaining message board request updates?

There is a ‘Request Status Pop-up’ on the message board that will keep track on how many updates you have left. This is
placed in the top left corner after login.
