ATTENDEES
The Lesbians Who Tech Summit is the only event focusing on
increasing tech participation in both the women’s and queer
communities. You don’t get much more diverse than that! We hope
you will be a part of this exciting community and demonstrate your
commitment to these two critical groups in the tech world.
Sincerely,

Lesbians Who Tech is hosting our second annual Summit in New York from October 1st -4th
in New York. Our Summit is an effort to bring together over 1,000 queer women in tech
(and allies), a group that is rarely represented in either of the communities of which they
are a part – the tech community or the LGBT community – for the most unique technology
conference ever.
The Summit stretches over four days featuring a diverse number of activities and
experience. During the conference we will be hosting a variety of weekend events
including our second annual hackathon, a new leadership development workshop for
executive level attendees and fun gatherings such as Lesbians Who Golf & Bike.
We will highlight incredible queer women who have paved the way for a more equal
workplace and society, as well as the next generation of technical leaders. This year in
New York there will be a special focus on the intersection of technology and digital in
both media and finance.
The Summit will be hosted at NYU Law School in Washington Square Park along with
satellite events at various locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

A Note From a Sponsor
At Google, we work hard to ensure attention to diversity is
integrated into everything we do. We do this because it makes sense
from a business perspective and because it’s the right thing to do.
That's why we're thrilled to support Lesbians Who Tech and the quest for
greater representation and equality for women, and for LGBT people,
in technology and in the larger community.

Lesbians Who Tech & Megan Smith, America’s New CTO
This past summer Lesbians Who Tech was asked to
co-produce the first-ever White House LGBT Tech &
Innovation Summit. Leanne Pittsford interviewed
Megan Smith, then VP of Google. It was at this event
that Megan Smith got recruited to be the CTO of
America. We couldn’t be more proud to have a
queer woman hold such an important office in our
United States Government.

Attending the Lesbians Who Tech Summit showed me my career horizon is
much greater than I imagined...Seeing these role models and peers, knowing I
am not the lone female engineer but instead one of many gives me greater
confidence in putting myself out there as a lesbian in technology.”
It's so rare to have a space that feels dedicated to both who I am and what I do-this summit is IT if you are lesbian/queer and working in tech! :) After the
Summit was over, I felt like I grew 3 feet taller from meeting so many successful,
ambitious, smart women. I now know I can indeed dream bigger--and make it
happen. ”
Never have I felt more proud of who I am and more excited to be in the tech
field. “
