First Day Session I: Sunday, June 14, 2015
First Day Session II: Sunday, June 21, 2015
First Day Session III: Sunday, July 5, 2015
Registration 9:00 – 11:00 AM:
• Check-in at ILLINOIS STREET RESIDENCE HALLS (ISR), 918 W. Illinois St., Urbana, IL 61801.
Register in order of arrival.
• Students only in registration line. Please leave belongings in your car. Students will have time to
move into their room after registration/auditions.
• If account balance is owed, please pay online at:
• Late check-ins: proceed to the ISYM Counseling Office (Room 113 ISR).
Medical Form with photo/video/audio consent:
• Submit (if not already done so) by email to [email protected] or FAX to 217-244-4585.
• If form is not submitted in advance, student MUST submit it during registration.
• Bring prepared music with you.
• Audition times are assigned in the registration line. Students auditioning on the following
instruments are encouraged to check-in as early as possible (Preferably between 9:00am-10:00am): flute,
clarinet, trumpet, violin, female chorus students. Warm up rooms are available in the Illinois
Street Residence Hall throughout the day.
• Audition results posted in ISR Lobby by 2:45 pm; daily schedules distributed at first rehearsal.
• Free parking on Saturday and Sunday is located in the adjacent lot next to ISR (D-9) and in the
Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Metered parking is free on Sunday ONLY.
• Read all signs and meters to determine parking restrictions/enforcements. ISYM is not
responsible for fines.
• After registration, parents may assist students as they move into their rooms.
• Double check student’s audition time as auditions may need to occur before move-in.

• Land-line telephone access is not available in Illinois Street Residence Hall rooms. Internet is
available in dorm rooms via an Ethernet cord or guest wi-fi password. Students are encouraged
to bring a cord if planning to use the internet during their stay. A limited number of wireless
passwords are available.
• Parent Meeting:
• ISYM & Housing Staff will host a 30 - minute parent meeting at 11:30 in the ISR main dining
• Staff will provide an overview of the camp structure and answer questions.
• All parents are encouraged to attend. An additional meeting for commuting students and their
parents will be held at 1:00 pm.
First Rehearsals:
• Bring instruments and pencils! Counselors will lead groups from ISR to first rehearsal location.

• Make sure instruments are in excellent playing condition prior to arrival at camp! Repair options
are limited during camp. Parents are responsible for all payments for repairs.
• Students with larger instruments are encouraged to bring a small, folding “luggage cart” for
transporting their instrument to and from rehearsals. All instrumentalists need to bring a folding
music stand for rehearsals Monday-Friday.
ISYM staff may transport the following instruments: tuba, double bass, cello, etc. to/from rehearsals and
residence halls.
The first meal served at ISR is Sunday dinner; lunch on Saturday is the last meal served.
Commuter students may purchase dining hall passes at the ISR Front Desk, if not already
purchased ahead of time. Commuter students are not allowed in to the dining hall with their own lunch.
You must have a meal pass to gain access. Commuters may eat lunch in the ISR lounges if
bringing their own meal.
Check-Out Saturday, 7:00 am – 12:00 pm:
• Students may begin the check-out process as early as 7:00 am until 12 pm with their counselors. If
a parent is unable to pick up a student prior to 12 pm, luggage may be stored in room 110 ISR.
• Coordinate check-out time with students, as many ensembles rehearse on Saturday morning.
• Free parking is only available in Lot D-9 or Krannert Center parking garage; meters are enforced
on Saturdays.
• Keys will be turned in during checkout or a lost key fee of $25 will be due at that time.
• Group pictures will be available for pick-up & purchase at ISR; students may pre-order on
picture day.
