Device to manage stress in 3 minutes launches on Indiegogo

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Ipnotica LLC launches crowdfunding campaign for a relaxation device to manage stress in 3 minutes Ridgecrest, California, April 2015 On April 27th, 2015 Ipnotica LLC will launch an Indiegogo campaign to manufacture the Personal Relaxation Pod, a soft wearable device to manage stress and improve focus in a multisensorial way in just three minutes. Life seems to be speeding up constantly. There are always more urgent matters to attend to and more demands that require immediate attention. In order to get everything done, multitasking has become a part of today’s culture and is considered the best way to accomplish more in less time. This rarely works, however. What actually happens during multitasking is that the mind becomes unfocused as it bounces from one thing to the next. No task gets completed satisfactorily. This constant struggle to make deadlines and get everything done in time can cause stress and anxiety which have a huge impact on life. Not only can stress and anxiety worsen moods and thus relationships, but they have a detrimental effect on health and wellbeing. They can cause headaches, heart disease, high blood pressure, insomnia, more frequent colds and infections and even lower libido. In a recent survey by the
American Psychological Association
, nearly ¾ of all participants reported that they regularly suffer from physical and/or psychological symptoms related to stress. Antidepressant consumption quadrupled between 1988 and 2011. As much as 20% of the adult population is taking some form of behavioural medication for depression, anxiety or stress. Anxiety disorders alone cost America $42 billion a year. The solution in the fight against time and protecting good health is the opposite of what most everyone seems to believe it is. The only way to increase productivity while beating stress is to slow down and focus on one thing at a time. After a lifetime of juggling demands and responsibilities, being able to slow down and focus is a skill that has to be learned. It is now widely recognized that meditation may be the best way to do so. The

and

are among those who have released articles indicating that meditation can help improve mental and physical wellbeing. Ipnotica is launching a campaign on Indiegogo for a relaxation device called the Personal Relaxation Pod. The Pod is designed to help users access the benefits of meditation in as more little as three minutes a day. It combines relaxation exercises with light color therapy as well as with an optional aromatherapy add on. The exercises will include guided meditations, mindfulness exercises, ASMR tracks and binaural beats. The user can choose an exercise from the app which will be organized into sections including 3 minute relaxation, power nap, sleep aid and improved concentration. The lights are programmed to work in sync with the relaxation exercises. For example, during an exercise about being in a forest, the lights pulse green to simulate sunlight through the trees. The aromatherapy further contributes to the multisensorial way of relaxing. There are four mixes to choose from to enhance happiness, relaxation, concentration and energy. Andrea Sallese, one of the cofounders of Ipnotica, originally came up with the idea for the Personal Relaxation Pod during a stressful period at work. Because of stress headaches, he started thinking of how to create a space of his own wherever he was. The
campaign on Indiegogo
starts on the 27th of April, 2015 with a goal to reach $15,000 in 30 days. The perks start at $2 for an ebook of relaxation exercises and include the $79 Standard Kit with mask, electronic component and iOs or Android app as well as the $99 Deluxe Kit with aromatherapy. Online, they will be using the hashtag #3MinutesToPeace. Ipnotica LLC was started by Andrea Sallese and Suzanne Schumacher. They are both long time meditators and researchers of stress management techniques. Contact: Suzanne Schumacher [email protected]relaxation.com 819 Mamie Ave Ridgecrest, CA 93555 +393664473266 ###
