Faith of our mothers, living still, in cradle song and bedtime prayer;
In nursery lore and fireside love, Thy presence still pervades the air.
Faith of our mothers, living faith! We will be true to thee till death.
Faith of our mothers, loving faith, fount of our childhood’s trust and grace,
Oh, may thy consecration prove source of a finer, nobler race.
Faith of our mothers, living faith! We will be true to thee till death.
Greg DeLoach

The Sanctuary flowers are given by Dr. & Mrs. William A. Trotter IV,
Bill, Jane, and Julia in loving memory of Mr. William A. Trotter, Jr.
and in honor of our parents, and every woman who has ever loved a child as a mother.
Faith of our mothers, guiding faith, for youthful longing, youthful doubt,
How blurred our vision, blind our way, Thy providential care without.
Faith of our mothers, guiding faith! We will be true to thee till death.

Faith of our mothers, Christian faith, is truth beyond our stumbling creeds,

I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth
and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge,
so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him by the power at work
within us, is able to accomplish abundantly far more than we ask or imagine, to him be
glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.
Setting, Wilbur Held
