This home was built by a local pioneer just after
the Civil War, and has housed funeral businesses
since 1930. The Hughey family purchased,
restored, and renovated the home in 1969. This
independent family owned funeral home has
served Mount Vernon & the surrounding area for
the past 39 years.

Indiana, has been locally owned and operated

Collins family
purchased the
funeral home in
1969. Don
Collins Sr., and
his wife Sue,

funeral coach or limousine every six years are now upgrading every

- because the expense for servicing the vehicle has been removed and

With the IRS tax deduction, funeral homes can immediately
write off up to $108,000.00 per year off their taxes for 2008. This is a
full tax deduction and does not have to be depreciated out over time,
as in the past. The IRS also allows for a 100% tax deduction for lease
payments.
You are then able to offer your families the best of equipment
at the least cost to you. Therefore, it pays to upgrade, both for the
families you serve and your own money.
