The Western Massachusetts Chapter of the Financial Managers Society and the Connecticut Bankers Association are pleased to present James Clarke, Principal of Clarke Consulting for his annual review of the current economic landscape. “Managing the Balance Sheet in Anticipation of Rising Interest Rates” will be the primary focus, but Jim will also spend some time on regulatory concerns and managing commercial loans and deposits in 2015 into 2016. Presenters: Dr. James Clarke is the Principal of Clarke Consulting, a Villanova, Pennsylvania firm specializing in ALCO issues and strategic planning for community banks. Dr. Clarke lectures on asset/liability management at the Stonier National School of Banking sponsored by ABA, the Connecticut and Pennsylvania banking schools, the Southwest Graduate School of Banking, and the New England School of Banking. He conducts ALM seminars for many State associations, for Risk Management Associations (RMA) and Financial Managers Society (FMS). Jim also conducts board education programs on ALM for a number of state associations. Dr. Clarke also serves on the Board of two community banks, and is a Director of an investment company.
